Is your child working on a zoo or animal related project for school? We've got the resources to help out. Please look through this section thoroughly before sending questions to the Zoo.

Visit this section to learn the answers to the most common questions we receive from students.

Visit here to find fact sheets for most of the Zoo's animals.

These Zoo approved websites are great for doing research for school projects.

Here you'll find a list of our favorite books for both research and fun.

We receive many requests to conduct interviews with our zookeepers and we are unable to fulfill all of them. Please read the instructions below for important information regarding zookeeper interviews.

  • If you have a general question about zoo keeping, review our written interview below or visit Monkey Village, Stingray Bay, or the Petting Zoo where there is always staff available to answer your basic questions.
  • If you have been assigned to conduct an interview but it does not need to be in person, please email your questions using the link and indicate keeper interview in the subject. With zookeepers' busy schedules it may take up to two weeks for you to receive a response. Please indicate your deadline in the email and we will do our best to meet your deadline.
  • If a face-to-face interview is required for your assignment, please use the link, indicate keeper interview in the subject line, and provide your contact information, the nature of your interview and the date it needs to be completed by. We will do our best to arrange a meeting but please understand that we can't guarantee it.

We receive many letters from students each year and we try our best to answer them. To help us have time to respond to all of the letters we receive we ask that you keep your letter brief and that you indicate when you need a response by, if there is a deadline.
